Brief: Our clients, having gained approval for the demolition of their existing atrium which was planned to be replaced with a library/office and new front entrance and enlargement of the family bathroom, contacted us to help them as doing everything by themselves seemed a scary proposition. The clients wanted to create a relaxing, outdoor-indoor feel. They wanted to include green and blue hues but wanted to spaces to have high-end feel and look. The family bathroom was to have much darker finishes.

What we did: Together with Jeff Kahane Associated we remodeled a 384 square metres of this  stunningly located country house synonymous with its surroundings. Katie Malik Design Studio revised proposed plans and initial joinery concepts and created a cohesive scheme including furniture, electrical, lighting layouts.

Encompassing design and interiors reflective of its natural surroundings, alfresco dining, this property is a house that is far more than a home.

The project was shortlisted for the Design et al award in 2022.
